As part of their admission procedure, many schools require students to undergo a school physical examination. The school physical report is a document for the school to get an overall picture of the student’s health, vaccination, medical history and if necessary, any major health issues or special needs.
EG Healthcare can provide the medical documentation and records that you or your child may need for school. Whether it’s college or grade school, or anything in between, we have you covered. We can provide up-to-date vaccines or perform blood draws for titer testing to prove any required vaccination history, as well as perform the required physical exam.
Additionally, we are more than happy to securely email your child records in the event that an institution misplaces or urgently needs medical documentation.
Why is a School Physical important?
School physicals are important for diagnosing any critical health issues of your child as they cover all the aspects related to your child’s health. A series of health reports can provide doctors a clear picture of your child’s health status and development. This is something that can enable other healthcare professionals to have a better picture of any problems and take necessary preventative steps.
Routine school physicals are important due to the following reasons:
- To keep apprised on your child’s vaccination status
- To help understand any external factors if your child is facing any issues at school
- To ensure that your child is healthy and safe
- To understand whether your child is vulnerable to any particular medical issues
What to expect from our school physical?
As with all our medical examinations, school physicals start with a detailed session with one of our health care professionals. You can expect to be asked questions about your child’s medical history, any current treatments they are undergoing, any prescription medications they are taking, results and reports of previous tests and other important health-related issues.
We can fill out your school’s form or use one of our own Comprehensive Physical Exam Forms for you to submit. On some occasions, we might also refer your child for some additional tests depending on certain health condition test results. In such an event, the tests are recommended to ensure that the student is fit for his/her school activities. Based on the test’s results, we may recommend the student to healthcare specialists or doctors to ensure optimal performance.
